Thicker casting, more metal, more soul. Look closely and you’ll see a large iron landing. This means no chatter, and are the only planes we work on.
The Millers Falls 56 was produced between 1929 and 1965
Bobbed and beveled, cut to 5 1/4”
All edges broken
Iron reground to 25 degrees, then sharpened to hair shaving sharp with relieved corners. Iron is 4 1/4” long and 1 3/8” wide.
Cleaned, oiled, and tested
These planes were produced by skilled builders of a bygone era. Not disposable, meant to stand the test of time, and here they are!
These are for the handshapers.
